Skills:

• Experience of building a range of Services in Azure
• Experience in Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment practise – coding, tooling and techniques
• Experience in dealing with multiple support groups that contribute to a service
• Experience and demonstrable accomplishments in selecting, designing and implementing automation and compliance frameworks that are applied to virtual compute resource deployments in the cloud

The Azure Site Reliability Engineer will work within the global Azure Cloud Services team and will be responsible for supporting highly resilient, scalable, reusable and performant Azure infrastructure. Reporting to the Azure Engineering Lead and working across the Azure Cloud Services team, Microsoft and Cyber Security to ensure that the infrastructure we deliver are in a continuous state of improvement.

What you’ll do:

• Act as a DevOps Engineer, supporting improvements across both infrastructure and applications
• Work closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure business SLI/SLO targets are met and continuously improved
• Monitor and maintain the Azure platform that supports application deployments
• Partner with application owners and technology teams adopting cloud infrastructure
• Identify areas for improvement in infrastructure design and support their implementation through to production
• Investigate incidents and perform root cause analysis to improve system performance and availability
• Contribute to improving monitoring, alerting and incident response processes
• Implement centrally provided patches and support ongoing platform maintenance
