Linux Automation Engineer

• Client: lead international bank
• Recruitment process: 2 meetings with hiring managers, followed by a phone screen with our recruiter
• Hybrid work: 6 days per month from the office in Cracow or Warsaw

Skills:

• 5+ years administering Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) in production and 3+ years automating infra/app delivery
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Strong automation and scripting skills (Python, Go, Bash, etc.)
• Hands-on experience with Ansible and Jenkins
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

You will join a global engineering team working on a time-sensitive regulatory project. The goal is simple (but not easy): replace manual operational work with solid automation so key services can recover within strict regulatory timelines.

What you will do:

• Automating manual operational processes that support critical business services
• Designing and building reliable, high-performance automation used in real recovery scenarios
• Working closely with product engineering and operations teams to understand processes end to end
• Writing automation that is secure by default, including secrets handling and least-privilege access
• Monitoring and improving automation performance, with room for unexpected scenarios
• Automating not only processes, but also tests that validate the automation itself
• Supporting change implementation, with occasional weekend or out-of-hours work
