Senior AWS Developer

Project

Hands-on role balancing AWS development, infrastructure automation, and operational support within an enterprise DevOps environment. You will work closely with application teams to deploy workloads to AWS, enhance cloud security controls, automate compliance reporting, and provide rotational support following a "you build it, you run it" philosophy.

You will

• Application Deployment: Partner with Application Teams to safely deploy, manage, and optimize their workloads on AWS,
• Development & Automation: Build automated solutions using Python, write infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/Ansible), and improve CI/CD pipelines,
• Security & Compliance: Upgrade existing cloud security controls and deliver enhancements to compliance dashboards,
• Operations & Incident Management: Lead major incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and provide 24/7 rotational on-call support,
• Project Leadership: Manage projects alongside junior engineering colleagues, driving best practices in a high-autonomy environment.

Must have

• AWS & Cloud Security: Broad hands-on experience across key AWS services with a security-first approach to cloud architecture,
• Development & Automation: Strong programming skills in Python and automation experience using Ansible and/or Terraform,
• CI/CD & DevOps: Proficient experience with Jenkins, Git, and modern CI/CD practices; strong adoption of the "you build it, you own it, you support it" mentality,
• OS & Enterprise Infrastructure: Good understanding of Linux and/or Windows operating systems with proven enterprise infrastructure delivery success,
• Agile & Incident Leadership: Comfortable leading major incident responses and operating within Agile delivery frameworks.

Nice to have

• Governance & Risk: Knowledge of enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance in highly regulated industries.
