Software Test Engineer (Manual & Automation)

Join an international technology environment within the banking and financial services sector, working on testing and quality assurance of IT systems.

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with experience in both manual and automated testing, strong SQL skills, and hands-on experience with API testing and Java-based test automation.

The role involves close collaboration with development, business analysis, and production support teams to ensure software quality and reliable system delivery.

YOU WILL

• Perform manual and automated testing of IT systems and applications.
• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium.
• Conduct API testing using tools such as SOAP UI.
• Analyze requirements, technical specifications, and other project documentation to define appropriate test scenarios.
• Document test results, track testing progress, and report defects using Jira and Confluence.
• Collaborate with Production Support, Test Management, Solution Delivery, and Business Analysts to clarify requirements and coordinate testing activities.
• Identify, investigate, and escalate testing issues and project risks.
• Participate in testing activities within Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.

MUST HAVE

• Minimum 3 years of experience in software testing, including manual and automated testing.
• Hands-on experience with Java-based test automation and Selenium.
• Practical knowledge of SQL, UNIX, and XML.
• Experience in API testing, including SOAP UI.
• Experience creating, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and Excel.
• Understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working in an international environment.
• Higher education.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience in the banking or financial services sector, ideally with payment systems.
• Knowledge of Cucumber, JUnit, Spring Boot, or TypeScript.
• ISTQB certification.
