Senior Machine Learning / AI Engineer (RL)

Candidate Profile

• 6+ years Python software engineering
• Minimum 3 years in Machine Learning or Environment Engineering
• Practical experience with LangChain and AI frameworks
• Reinforcement Learning experience and continuous learning systems
• Prompt engineering and agent design
• Microservices, distributed systems, Kafka or Azure ServiceBus
• Experience translating business requirements and planning work for self or small team
• Availability to work approximately 12:00 - 20:00 (client time zone)

This is a 100% remote position, but if you enjoy working from an office, you’re warmly welcome to join us there too 😊

Due to the client’s time zone, we would appreciate a candidate who can work 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Job Description

• Design and deploy large-scale fault-tolerant AI inference services and distributed systems for real-time agents.
• Develop RL environments and continuous learning/online optimization systems for production.
• Orchestrate foundational models using LangChain and related tools; implement prompting, agent design, RAG workflows.
• Architect microservices and asynchronous messaging solutions (Kafka, Azure ServiceBus) for high-volume real-time interactions.
• Ensure scalability, reliability and observability of evaluation and optimization pipelines for AI agents.
