Senior Java Engineer

What will you do:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java applications for Android banking platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and enhancements
• Ensure code quality through code reviews, unit testing, and best practices
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues
• Participate in architectural discussions and technical decision-making
• Contribute to continuous integration and delivery pipelines
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge within the team
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
• Write clear technical documentation
• Support the deployment and monitoring of applications in production

Skills:

• 7+ years of professional Java development experience (Java 8 or above)
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns
• Hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot and RESTful APIs
• Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito)
• Experience with CI/CD tools and processes
• Understanding of messaging systems (Kafka, IBM MQ)
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure)
• Experience with ORM frameworks (Hibernate, MyBatis)
• Understanding of secure coding practices is a must
• Experience in the banking or fintech sector is an advantage
