Senior Architect/Staff Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Extend VNXT Call Handling in the Kraków Emergency Call Handling team: a mission-critical platform with 99.999% availability.
• Drive architecture and roadmap, identify business opportunities and technical debt, contribute hands-on across teams, refactor code and make analytical decisions.
• Apply craftsmanship and coach or mentor colleagues. Stack: Kubernetes/Docker, Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot/Quarkus, GitHub, Azure DevOps, ELK, Prometheus/Grafana, Redis, Azure/AWS, Proxmox, OpenShift, SIP/RTP/WebRTC/MSRP, RabbitMQ, GStreamer, Rust, Asterisk, PostgreSQL, NGINX, Angular, TypeScript/JavaScript, Selenium/Playwright.

Key requirements:

• 12+ years building products and driving architecture; Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
• Hands-on expert software developer and technical leader or key contributor, versatile across teams and independent in complex work.
• Business and analytical thinking: influence the technology roadmap, reduce technical debt, prioritize information and make decisions with incomplete data.
• Software craftsmanship, consistent refactoring, coaching and mentoring; communication with technical and non-technical audiences, including VP level.
• English skills for efficient communication with peers and North American customers.

Must have:

• Java; Kubernetes or an alternative; Docker or an alternative; AWS or Azure cloud experience or distributed systems.
• Microservices and REST API; automated testing; messaging systems; observability and monitoring; networking; Angular.
