Senior QA Engineer (Banking Industry)

Candidate Requirements

• Solid understanding of software testing principles (e.g., ISTQB Foundation Level or equivalent).
• Ability to lead and support QA activities across the delivery team.
• Motivation to continuously develop expertise in test automation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to promote automation practices within the team.
• At least 5 years of practical experience in test automation for GUI/web applications or REST-based services.
• Programming experience in Java, Python, or Robot Framework.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, RestAssured, Cucumber, Postman, or Chrome DevTools.
• Experience working with version control systems such as Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD environments and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo, Docker).
• Basic SQL knowledge and ability to write database queries.
• Experience working with common data formats such as XML, CSV, and JSON.

Nice to Have

• Basic knowledge or experience in performance testing using tools such as JMeter.

Work in a hybrid model with a minimum office presence of two days per week.

Support the development of automation testing strategies for application releases using established QA standards and methodologies.

Create and maintain automated tests while managing the related test repository.

Execute automated test suites within defined timelines and report testing progress in line with project standards.

Document testing outcomes and assist with defect tracking and resolution processes.

Provide testing support when investigating and resolving production issues.

Enhance and extend existing automation frameworks to accommodate new technologies and testing needs.

Apply best practices in test automation tools and frameworks to improve efficiency and reduce duplication.

Design test scenarios for system, integration, and acceptance testing.

Collaborate with manual testers to convert manual test cases into automated ones.
