Data Engineer

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or backend data processing. 
• Solid understanding of data mining, data processing, and scalable data storage design. 
• High proficiency with SQL, Power Automate, and backend programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, or similar). 
• Proven hands‑on experience with ServiceNow/ITSM data, including extraction, normalization, and transformation. 
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Azure, including Lakehouse architecture, Data Pipelines, Dataflows, semantic models, and modern Fabric‑based engineering patterns. 
• Advanced Power BI experience, including data modeling, DAX, XMLA connectivity, and performance optimization. 
• Experience working with APIs for ingestion, integration, and data synchronization. 
• Familiarity with Agile/DevOps methodologies, documentation standards, version control practices, and governance frameworks. 

Nice-to-Have:

• Certifications such as DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate), DP-700 (Fabric Data Engineer Associate), PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst Associate) — or equivalent certifications.
• Exposure to Machine Learning/AI concepts and willingness to develop predictive models as part of analytics initiatives. 

We are seeking an experienced Backend Data Specialist with a minimum of five (5) years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics, or related backend data domains. The role focuses on extracting, transforming, and processing ServiceNow/ITSM data to support enterprise reporting, analytics, and governance. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, storing, and maintaining robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and enabling scalable analytical solutions across the organization. This position requires close collaboration with ServiceNow architects, front-end analytics engineers, and business stakeholders.
