- Lead the full requirements-to-prototype process, from stakeholder discovery and requirements clarification to wireframes, interactive prototypes and high-fidelity designs
- Define and maintain UI/UX standards, interaction patterns and design systems across client-facing portal applications
- Design and develop key React.js and TypeScript components, shared UI libraries and reusable front-end solutions
- Establish front-end architecture, coding standards and development best practices
- Review pull requests and provide actionable feedback on code quality, architecture, usability and design fidelity
- Collaborate with backend and API teams to ensure proposed user experiences are technically feasible and aligned with service and data constraints
- Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and responsive design principles
- Conduct usability testing and validation sessions and improve solutions based on user feedback, analytics and business requirements
- Mentor mid-level developers in UI/UX design thinking, React development and front-end engineering best practices
- Represent the portal area in architecture, design and technical governance discussions
- Ensure delivered solutions are scalable, maintainable, accessible and consistent across applications
