Lead DevOps Engineer

Andersen is hiring a Lead DevOps Engineer to join a project focused on modernizing CI/CD and enhancing a cloud-based software quality platform.

The project includes preparing public API documentation and a status page, migrating CI/CD from CircleCI to GitHub Actions, and introducing reusable workflows across 111 repositories.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain OpenAPI documentation pipelines with Stoplight Elements.
• Integrate documentation into GitHub Actions reusable workflows.
• Implement a public status page using New Relic Synthetics.
• Manage monitoring and alerting infrastructure with Terraform.
• Support production changes and migrations on AWS ECS Fargate with minimal downtime.
• Own release engineering, including deployment strategies, health checks, rollback, and release governance.
• Contribute to the CircleCI → GitHub Actions migration.
• Integrate Snyk and SonarQube security and quality gates into CI/CD.
• Lead a dedicated DevOps team and drive tasks through production.

Must-haves:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or similar, with strong AWS expertise.
• Deep experience with Amazon ECS/Fargate, including Service Connect, Graviton/multi-architecture builds, cluster design, ALB/NLB, target groups, and deployment strategies.
• Strong release engineering and production change experience: live migrations, zero-downtime deployments, blue/green, canary and staged rollouts, health checks, rollback, blast-radius management, and release governance.
• Strong hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, including reusable workflows, composite actions, and OIDC/IAM.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience with New Relic Synthetics or comparable tools such as Datadog/Grafana.
• Experience integrating Snyk and SonarQube into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with OpenAPI tooling and docs-as-code pipelines.
• Strong senior-level ownership, autonomy, technical judgment, and communication skills.
• Kubernetes is not required; the platform is primarily based on ECS/Fargate.
• English: Upper-Intermediate+.
