Senior Linux / Unix Infrastructure Engineer

Join a global infrastructure engineering team responsible for delivering and supporting enterprise Linux and UNIX platforms that power business-critical applications. You'll work in a modern DevOps environment, helping design, automate, and maintain highly available infrastructure while driving operational excellence across global platforms.

You will

• Administer and support enterprise Linux (RHEL) and UNIX environments
• Deploy and maintain infrastructure services in collaboration with application and DevOps teams
• Automate operational processes using Shell, Python, or Perl
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis
• Design and implement infrastructure improvements focused on reliability and performance
• Manage storage, clustering, and virtualization technologies
• Contribute to capacity planning, technical standards, and operational documentation
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver secure and scalable infrastructure solutions

Must have

• 6+ years of experience administering Linux (RHEL) environments
• Strong knowledge of Linux architecture, performance tuning, and system administration
• Experience with Shell scripting, Python, or Perl
• Hands-on experience with Veritas Volume Manager and Veritas Cluster Server
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Citrix, or Hyper-V
• Knowledge of storage technologies including NAS, EMC SAN, and replication
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, firewalls, load balancers)
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Fluent English and Polish

Nice to have

• Experience with Solaris, SLES, or other UNIX platforms
• Linux or UNIX certifications (e.g., RHCSA, RHCE, or equivalent)
• Experience in highly regulated industries such as banking or financial services
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and operational best practices
• Experience working in enterprise DevOps environments
