Cloudera Solution Architect

• Lead the design and delivery of data solutions within the Bank’s Platforms on Cloudera in AWS
• Design end-to-end data lake and distributed data solutions
• Contribute to solution planning, effort estimation, and identification of technical risks, dependencies, assumptions, and issues
• Review and provide guidance on solution designs created by other Data Solution Architects and engineering teams
• Promote and define best practices across data architecture, engineering, governance, and delivery processes
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, and the Group Data Office to refine and translate data requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Present solution designs to the Bank’s Architecture Review Board when necessary
• Provide support to and engage with non-factory solution architects on change initiatives
• Ensure technical designs align with overall solution architecture and enterprise data strategy
• Support the delivery lead to break down the solution so that it can be delivered iteratively in sprints
• Support other engineering functions within the factory, including mapping, building, testing, and release
• Review requirements and monitor change requests to ensure that the solution design is fit for purpose

Key requirements:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in data and cloud-based projects
• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Data Architect in large-scale enterprise environments
• Strong track record delivering distributed data solutions across complex, multi-vendor organizations
• Deep knowledge of distributed data platforms, particularly Cloudera CDH/CDP (On-Prem and Cloud)
• Experience with processing large datasets, streaming data, and unstructured data sources using Cassandra, HBase, Kafka, and Spark
• Strong ETL and data pipeline experience with modern big data tools such as Airflow and NiFi
• Strong programming background in Java, Python, or Scala
• Good working knowledge of data architecture principles
• Ability to take a lead role and own complex data deliveries
• Experience with API Exposure, Integration, Streaming, and Change Data Capture
• Very good command of English
