Senior/Manager Java Full Stack (SME)

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior/Manager Java Engineer.

The successful candidate will collaborate within a dedicated SWAT Team focused on proactively identifying, investigating, and resolving complex business and technical challenges across the program landscape. We are specifically looking for a highly experienced professional with a strong track record of solving complex problems in enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Cooperate within SWAT Team, providing expertise in resolving critical business and technical issues.
• Proactively identify risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders to remove blockers and accelerate delivery.
• Provide technical leadership and expert-level guidance within the assigned domain.
• Support architectural discussions, integration initiatives, and modernization efforts.
• Drive best practices across software development, DevOps, and operational excellence.
• Leverage AI-enabled approaches and tools throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Required Profile

• Bachelor's in Engineering, IT, Science or technical field
• 5+ years in corporate IT in a similar role
• Demonstrable experience in Java and common Java frameworks
• Subject-matter expert (SME) in their technical domain
• Genuine passion for technology and continuous improvement
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Highly proactive; able to drive issue resolution independently
• Experience working across multiple teams and managing technical dependencies
• Comfortable in fast-paced, complex enterprise environments

Skills and attributes for success

• 10+ years commercial experience building web applications (Java + frontend)
• Practical experience with Java 25 and Spring Boot
• REST APIs and SOAP integrations experience
• Knowledge of databases, SQL and SQL Server
• Source code management (GitHub), CI/CD and automated deployment
• Azure (Cosmos DB, Application Insights, DevOps)
• Experience applying AI tools/practices within the SDLC
• Practical experience with Angular or React.js (preferably both)
• Very good English (spoken and written)

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Guidewire platforms
• Knowledge of Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Hands-on microservices architecture experience
• Relevant certificates: Java, Spring, SQL, AWS or Azure
• Jutro Digital Platform (JDP)
