Go Architect / Solution Architect (Go)

Andersen is hiring a Go Architect / Solution Architect (Go) for a project building scalable distributed systems and high-performance platforms supporting business growth and innovation.

The project focuses on building and evolving a high-performance, scalable distributed platform designed to support complex business operations and rapid product growth.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and evolving scalable distributed systems in Go, choosing appropriate concurrency models and ensuring a balance between performance and maintainability.
• Collaborating with Product Managers to refine high-level business goals into actionable technical plans and delivery roadmaps.
• Anticipating and highlighting edge cases, risks, and technical constraints early in the planning phase to avoid issues during implementation.
• Representing the engineering team in meetings with external stakeholders, explaining technical topics in clear, business-centric terms and challenging unrealistic requirements.
• Leading and performing code reviews for other senior engineers, ensuring high standards for code quality, resilience, and reliability.
• Driving improvements in CI/CD pipelines and engineering processes, helping the team ship high-quality code faster and safely.

Must-haves:

• Software development experience for 7+ years.
• Hands-on, production-level experience with Go for 4+ years, including deep understanding of goroutines, channels, context, memory model, and concurrency patterns.
• Higher education in Computer Science (software development, etc.)
• Extensive experience working with and the process of implementing/configuring it within a team.
• Experience in fintech, banking, or other regulated/high- domains.
• Proven experience designing distributed, microservice-based, and/or high-load systems.
• Strong expertise in design (REST and/or gRPC), including versioning and backward compatibility.
• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), including schema design, query optimization, transactions.
• Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS) and event-driven architecture.
• Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience with system design for high performance and maintainability.
• Understanding of system design principles: scalability, fault tolerance, , observability (metrics, logging, tracing).
• Experience conducting architecture reviews and writing design.
• Level of English – from Advanced and above.
