As the VP of Financial Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in the design, construction, and testing of analytic platforms. You will collaborate with multiple prototyping teams, alternating between rapid prototyping to build proof-of-concept platforms and developing polished software platforms for business use.

• Lead the development and testing of analytic platforms across various prototyping teams.
• Engage in rapid prototyping to construct proof-of-concept platforms.
• Develop robust and polished software platforms for business applications.
• Build tools and applications using Python, Kubernetes, Golang, and cloud solutions, not just utilize these technologies.
• Automate and optimize processes within the software engineering pipeline.
• Contribute to the overall strategy and vision for the financial engineering team.

• MSc or PhD in a technical field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Operational Research, or Information Systems (Informatics).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in building, testing, and deploying applications in a professional environment using Python
• Experience programming in a mathematical or engineering technical environment (e.g., MATLAB).
• Strong knowledge of common design patterns and testing principles.

• Some experience developing in an Agile environment with preferably some experience with continuous integration practices
• Proven expertise in developing applications using object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C++, or C#.
• Familiarity with algorithms for capturing and processing large datasets (i.e. Map/Reduce)
• Some knowledge of machine learning and pattern recognition techniques
• Experience working with non-tradtional database architectures (such as column free / NoSQL / graph-theoretic structures)
