You’ll join a distributed Big Data team working in an Agile setup with around ten Scrum teams across Europe and Asia, running two-week sprints and regular six-week releases, where engineers work closely with analysts and data scientists on real production problems - no silos, no ticket ping-pong, just real collaboration on systems that run at scale. Our tech stack is a mix of Scala, Spark, ElasticSearch, Hadoop with a move to GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, CICD.

• Building, upgrading, and maintaining Elasticsearch clusters
• Taking ownership as an Elasticsearch Subject Matter Expert
• Working closely with development teams on search, indexing, and performance topics
• Understanding how documents are indexed, stored, and queried internally
• Deployments, upgrades, troubleshooting, and stability improvements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Elasticsearch
• Strong understanding of: elasticsearch internals, indexing, mappings, shards, replicas, query performance and optimization
• Programming skills in one of: Scala, Java, Python
• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform and Hadoop ecosystem is nice to have
• Deployment experience (cloud and/or on-prem)
• Knowledge of Scala Spark (nice to have)
• Being familiar with DevOps / Agile practices (Scrum / KANBAN)
• JUnit, TDD, BDD, RHEL / shell scripting / REGEX, Clean code, SOLID, KISS, DRY, design patterns (nice to have)
