We are seeking a Junior QA Automation Engineer to join our banking client team. The ideal candidate will bring knowledge in both domain and QA technical aspects, with a focus on designing and executing automated tests to streamline the development and regression life cycle in client product. Working with Senior QAs, developers, BAs, and Product Owners, you will use your experience and skills to help drive best automation and manual testing practices within the project.

We are looking for candidates with up to max. 2 years of commercial experience. If you have limited commercial experience but can showcase university projects or personal projects related to test automation, feel free to apply!

• Basic knowledge of Java 17 and ability to read/modify existing code
• Understanding of classes, interfaces, collections, and exceptions
• Familiarity with basic design patterns (Builder, Factory - conceptual level)
• Basic BDD and Cucumber skills: Gherkin, creating and maintaining test scenarios
• CI/CD awareness and basic Jenkins usage (running jobs, analyzing logs)
• QA mindset: focus on quality, stability, and maintainable tests
• Fundamentals of system architecture: client-server, microservices, inter-service communication
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail
• English min. B2

You Should Have:

• Solid understanding of software testing fundamentals
• Experience in manual testing (commercial or project-based)
• Ability to analyze logs and work with Kibana
• Basic proficiency with Unix/Linux command-line interface
• Familiarity with common CLI commands

Nice to have:

• Experience in the financial domain / FX markets (currencies, orders, trades, spot vs forward)
• Knowledge of FIX Protocol (dictionary, message structure)
• Basic Spring Framework concepts (e.g., dependency injection)
• Familiarity with JUnit 5 (test structure, assertions, test lifecycle)
