As a Fullstack Engineer (Node.js, React.js) you will join the Growth Operations team to build and maintain internal systems that connect agents with carriers and power agency workflows. Your work will improve reliability, modernize workflows, increase visibility into system health, and build scalable carrier integrations.

• Design and implement backend services and APIs, integrate with third-party systems.
• Build internal applications and dashboards to manage carrier data.
• Develop the error classification model and carrier integration framework.
• Shape software architecture and contribute to technical decisions.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents; propose timely fixes.
• Collaborate with product, QA and business teams to deliver high-quality features.

What will you do?

• • You'll build the next generation of our error classification model and carrier integration framework. 
  • You'll support Hippo’s "Getting Serious About Data" initiative by reviewing existing data models are defining the team’s new data architecture. 
  • You’ll implement internal applications to allow the business to manage insurance carrier data and view dashboards of carrier related data.

• At least 3 years hands-on with Node.js, Nest.js, JavaScript, TypeScript.
• 1+ years building front-end apps; React experience preferred.
• Practical knowledge of a relational DB (Postgres/MySQL/SQL Server).
• Familiarity with microservices and cloud environments.
• Experience implementing test pyramid: unit, integration, e2e tests.
• Good communicator, team player, responsible and ownership-oriented.
• Good security practices and willingness to learn new skills.
• English proficiency (written & spoken) and availability for some afternoon/evening meetings with US teams.

• Experience with git, code reviews and legacy codebases.
