Czym będziesz się zajmować?

Join one of the world’s largest banks as a Mainframe Batch Specialist – we are looking for an experienced professional to take ownership of batch operations on z/OS, resolving incidents and outages, delivering operational solutions and driving ongoing infrastructure improvements. You will work on critical banking systems that serve millions of customers, in an international team that values expertise, reliability and a proactive approach.

What you’ll do

  • Ensure the stability, integrity and availability of the team’s products and services
  • Work in line with Service Management Standards and other relevant controls, keeping data in Service Management systems accurate and reliable
  • Help identify and resolve IT service incidents, working closely with DevOps team leadership
  • Make sure all delivered solutions meet resilience, sustainability and recovery time objectives
  • Deliver infrastructure changes with a strong focus on customer and user experience
  • Design and deploy infrastructure that meets performance, availability, security and resilience requirements under expected load
  • Automate build, testing and deployment processes across environments to improve consistency and reliability
  • Improve automation, continuous integration, system monitoring and maintenance processes

  • Client: lead international bank
  • Recruitment process: an initial phone screening with our recruiter, followed by one interview with the hiring managers
  • Hybrid work: 6 days per month from the office in Cracow
Skills
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Solid knowledge of JCL for IBM z/OS mainframe environments
  • Good knowledge of IBM Workload Scheduler (IWS)
  • Basic knowledge of Horizon IWS Graph, BatchCP, BatchAD and XINFO
  • Understanding of incident and change management processes
  • Understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
