Lead Go Developer (Remote)

Andersen is hiring a Lead Go Developer for a project developing a high-performance distributed platform and scalable backend solutions for enterprise systems.

Our customer is an international organization in the financial and protection services domain, focused on digital transformation and service innovation.

The project focuses on building a scalable distributed platform for complex business operations and rapid product growth.

Responsibilities:

• Design and evolve scalable distributed systems in Go, choosing appropriate concurrency models and balancing performance with maintainability.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to turn business goals into technical plans and delivery roadmaps.
• Identify edge cases, risks, and technical constraints early to prevent implementation issues.
• Represent engineering in external stakeholder meetings, explain technical topics in business terms, and challenge unrealistic requirements.
• Lead code reviews for senior engineers, ensuring high standards of code quality, resilience, and reliability.
• Drive improvements in CI/CD pipelines and engineering processes to help the team deliver high-quality code faster and safely.

Must-haves:  

• 7+ years of overall software development experience, including 5+ years of experience with Go. 
• Experience with specifically in a leadership role for 2+ years. 
• Higher education in Computer Science (software development, etc.). 
• Extensive experience working with AI and the process of implementing/configuring it within a team. 
• Experience of working in fintech, banking domains, and working with complex integrations. 
• Golang (design of scalable, distributed backend systems). 
• Concurrency patterns in Go (goroutines, channels, sync primitives). 
• System design for high performance and maintainability. 
• CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g. GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.). 
• Level of English – from Advanced and above.
