Senior Cloud Engineer

We are seeking candidates for our client, which operates in Europe.

You will need to be an expert in AWS and Infrastructure as a Code (IaC) with a thorough understanding of the applications’ architecture involved. Strong infrastructure and backend programming skills will help you to demonstrate your ability to apply these technologies, as well as deploy and maintain them will be crucial to success. 

Technologies we work with: AWS, Terraform, CircleCI, Python, TypeScript, C#, Java

• Designing, writing, testing and deploying functionalities developed via IaC (Terraform) in AWS Serverless environment
• Implementing the backend code (TypeScript / Python / C# / Java)
• Maintaining system on production used by consumers from several European countries
• Debugging issues
• Scoping and assessing the complexity of features
• Participating in sprint planning, daily sprints and meetings with product owners for grooming new features
• Recruiting and mentoring team members
• Collaborating with other team members and teams that depend on the functionalities that you develop

• 5+ years of production experience in cloud engineering (AWS, IaC). 
• Strong hands-on experience in technologies such as Terraform and programming languages, e.g. Python, TypeScript, C#, Java, Golang (one of these).
• Proficiency in building CICD pipelines
• Expertise with monitoring tools - Datadog / Grafana / Prometheus
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, testing, data structures and algorithms
• Solid knowledge of DBMS like PostgreSQL, DynamoDB
• Expertise in REST APIs, 
• Understanding of OO design patterns, SOLID principles and Clean Code
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science
• Able to work with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM and/or Kanban
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Self-motivation, proactive attitude
• Proficiency in English

• Exposure to fullstack development
• Experience with containers and container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
