Czym będziesz się zajmować?

  • Designing intuitive, accessible internal tools used daily by Hippo teams – claims platforms, underwriting AI, agent portals
  • Partnering with PMs and Engineers from discovery onward – defining problems, exploring solutions, shipping features that move real operational metrics (handle time, error rates, throughput)
  • Running user interviews, shadow sessions, and lightweight feedback loops with tool users
  • Sketching, wireframing, and prototyping at the right fidelity for the question being answered (Figma and LLMs used daily)
  • Facilitating conversations that get product, design, and engineering aligned
  • Sharing work openly: process, half-formed ideas, and mistakes included; participating in weekly design crits
  • Working as the solo Product Designer on Hippo's internal tools within a tight team of ~9

Kogo poszukujemy?

Key requirements:
  • 3+ years shipping production work, with a portfolio showing process, data, and impact
  • Strong Figma knowledge: components, variables, auto-layout, prototyping
  • Comfort with data-dense, workflow-heavy interfaces: tables, filters, dashboards, multi-step flows, power-user shortcuts
  • Using LLMs as part of the design toolkit (research synth, draft thinking, prototyping, writing)
  • Ability to run solo on a project with Staff Designer support when needed
  • Initiative – spotting problems, pushing back on vague briefs, suggesting better ways
  • Fluent English and availability in the afternoons 2-3 days a week (occasional evening calls for US time zones)
  • Clear design process, honest giving and taking of feedback
Nice to have:
  • Experience with internal tools or ops-heavy products (admin panels, agent consoles, claims tools, CRMs)
  • Experience designing AI-powered features: chatbots, agent assistance, AI-driven workflows, LLM-in-the-loop interfaces
  • Context on US home insurance, claims, or insurance operations
  • Experience working with US stakeholders
