Senior Fullstack PHP Developer (Remote)

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Laravel Developer (Tech Lead) to join a project in the financial services domain for a US-based client.

The project focuses on further development of an existing B2B platform used to support business workflows and integrations within a regulated environment. The role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, architecture discussions, and close collaboration with both business and engineering stakeholders.

You will work on scalable backend services, third-party integrations, and security-sensitive features in a modern fullstack environment.

• design and implement integrations with external APIs and enterprise platforms
• make technical decisions regarding architecture, security, and scalability
• lead code reviews and support other developers in the team
• collaborate with PMs, BAs, and client stakeholders during discovery and delivery phases
• act as a technical escalation point for the team
• develop and maintain backend and frontend features in a fullstack environment
• ensure high standards of code quality, maintainability, and security

• minimum 8 years of commercial software development experience
• minimum 3 years of experience with Laravel (preferably Laravel 10+)
• strong knowledge of PHP 8.x, including modern PHP features (typing, enums, readonly properties, attributes)
• experience with Vue 3 and Inertia.js in production projects
• experience designing and implementing REST API integrations
• practical experience with encryption at rest and/or field-level encryption
• experience working with security-sensitive applications and data protection mechanisms
• experience with Laravel Queues, scheduled jobs, and asynchronous workflows in production environments
• practical experience with Docker and containerized environments
• strong understanding of software architecture and engineering best practices
• ability to make independent technical decisions and communicate trade-offs clearly
• security-first mindset and attention to sensitive data handling
• English at B2/C1 level

• experience with audit logging and compliance-oriented systems
• experience with structured API client approaches in Laravel
• experience with Azure cloud services and container environments
• experience in fintech, lending, or other regulated industries
• knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and secure application design
