Lead Python Developer in the EU

Andersen is hiring a Lead Python Developer in the EU for a project developing a scalable GRC SaaS platform and delivering reliable compliance and risk management solutions.

Its platform supports greater transparency, efficiency, and control while helping businesses respond to evolving requirements and reduce operational risks. The company combines technology expertise with consulting, implementation, integration, and customization services, helping businesses streamline compliance processes and adapt to evolving regulatory requirements.

The project is focused on developing and enhancing a modular Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) SaaS platform that supports information security, risk management, business continuity, and data protection processes. It provides scalable and reliable compliance management capabilities for public sector organizations and large enterprises.

Responsibilities:

• Leading architectural decisions for the schema-driven application layer in close collaboration with the client’s Product and Engineering teams.
• Driving the ongoing concept phase, including prototyping, validating architectural approaches, documenting findings, and presenting solutions to stakeholders.
• Acting as the primary technical point of contact for the client, coordinating task allocation across the augmented team, leading demos, and representing the team in stakeholder meetings.
• Reviewing the work of Backend and Full-Stack Engineers and ensuring architectural consistency across modules and the backend/frontend boundary.
• Leading and personally delivering the most complex full-aggregate module migrations.
• Defining and driving the contract-testing strategy using golden fixtures while ensuring backward compatibility with the legacy REST API.

Requirements:

• Experience in backend engineering with lead experience for 6+ years.
• Strong hands-on Python/Django/DRF background.
• Experience working with JavaScript/React.
• Experience with complex relational data modeling.
• Understanding of permissions / RBAC / object-level visibility.
• Strong architectural judgment.
• Strong automated testing practices using pytest, factories, contract / integration tests.
• English – B2.
