Infrastructure Engineer (IBM)

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, IMS, JCL, and DB2.

• Support and integrate enterprise messaging solutions using MQ and related middleware technologies.

• Perform DB2 administration, performance tuning, and utility management using IBM, CA, and BMC tools.

• Lead mainframe upgrade, migration, and modernization initiatives with minimal business disruption.

• Develop and maintain automation solutions using REXX, Python, and z/OSMF workflows to improve operational efficiency.

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production issues while ensuring system stability and performance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on application enhancements, releases, and infrastructure changes.

• Contribute to technical design, code reviews, and best practices.

Requirements:

-Experience with CICS, IMS, or MQ integration

-Knowledge of DB2 tools (IBM tools, CA, BMC utilities)

-Exposure to automation scripting (REXX, Python, z/OSMF workflows)

-Experience in migration and upgrade projects
