We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Technician (Network Technical Management) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining network infrastructure, ensuring performance, reliability, and security across ICT platforms. This role requires strong leadership, advanced technical expertise, and the ability to plan, coordinate, and resolve complex network issues.

Planning and Coordination:

• Plan, manage, and coordinate resources and tasks to meet quality and performance targets.
• Monitor and report the capacity of ICT platforms (Networking) and provide regular updates.
• Assist with project work packages and oversee their implementation.

Technical Management:

• Install, operate, and maintain assigned ICT platforms, ensuring their integrity and reliability.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues using a systematic and analytical approach.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of implemented technologies and advise superiors on solutions for complex technical problems.
• Support IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM), Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery Plans.

• Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronics) with at least 3 years of related experience,
• OR
• Secondary educational qualification with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.

• Network Knowledge:
• Extensive experience with LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi technologies.
• In-depth understanding of Layer-2 (Ethernet, STP, VLANs) and Layer-3 (IP, OSPF, MPLS) network protocols.
• Practical experience with diagnosing network deficiencies and handling equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi controllers).
• Network Hardware and Protocols:
• Experience with Cisco, HP, and Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Familiarity with protocols and solutions including DNS, Active Directory (AD), DHCP, QoS, SNMP, VPN, VRRP.
• System Administration:
• Experience in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and MS Exchange Server.
• Knowledge of VMware products and virtualization technologies.

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
• ITIL Foundation certification
• Possession of relevant military certifications or training is highly advantageous
