NFR expert responsibilities include identify, assess, advice, reporting, compliance knowledge, and strong outside-in non-financial risk and leading the transition to data-driven ways of risk management, implementing new strategic risk requirements. NFR professionals will perform activities to keep the platforms compliant to minimum standards for Information Risk:

• In general, the role requires proper stakeholder management and the ability to organize sessions and workshops to get people together and work on a shared objective.
• Take the lead in Risk Control Self-Assessments for projects.
• Support with the design, implementation and evidencing of controls from the IT Risk Management standards with the objective to meet compliance objectives. 
• Take the lead in the execution of Business Impact Assessments (BIA) and Detailed Risk Assessments (DRA).
• Support with the maintenance of a backlog of NFR activities that must be addressed stay compliant and allow platforms to scale up and service additional data models.
• Provide expert knowledge and (change) guidance to existing NFR specialists, guide in way of working.
• Document lessons learned and working procedures to ensure the engineering squads and NFR professionals can independently perform the NFR scope of work.
